OVP3 — An immersive sonic adventure

O.V.P. stands for Oscillation, Vibration, Pulsation.
As a sound lover, I enjoy handling it like a raw material.

An evolving sonic trilogy

Here is the third chapter of O.V.P.:

• The first chapter was entirely dedicated to sound design, like a painter spreading their favorite colors on a canvas, without necessarily seeking to create an overall image.

• The second chapter was co-composed with my eldest son, Maxime, whose talents as a musician, guitarist, arranger, and singer brought more melodies and notes.

• This third chapter explores the cohesion between sound and space.

An immersive 360° mix

Thanks to my meeting with Hervé Déjardin and the L-Acoustics team, I discovered new tools allowing for the imagination of an artistic project's 360° spatialization from its very inception.

The L-ISA system, which I had the joy of exploring, allowed me to extend and amplify compositions started in my mobile solar studio, aboard the LAGoodVibe bus, during a trip through California and up to Nevada, in the company—among others—of my brother and my sister.

A new sonic scale

These tracks, born on Ableton Live, have taken on a new dimension thanks to the possibilities offered by the immersive mix.
A revelation, after more than 40 years of stereo production.

To be experienced on vinyl... and in immersion

Of course, the double vinyl cannot reproduce all the richness of the sound space imagined for each of the 14 tracks.

The booklet accompanying this double album is illustrated by Greggy, a talented artist who created a series of illustrations directly inspired by the tracks of OVP3

These visuals are designed in 3D, to remain consistent with the depth of the music.
